About This Event
Join us at Middlethorpe Hall for a specialFREEevening bringing together film, expert insight and open discussion on the climate and nature challenges facing the UK and the wider world.
The evening will begin with a short film produced as part of theNational Emergency Briefing, an initiative bringing together leading experts to highlight the implications of climate and nature breakdown for our health, food, national security, food systems and economy.
Following the screening, we will hear from academics and experts who will share their perspectives on the challenges we face, the action being taken and what more could be done. There will also be an opportunity for guests to join an open discussion and share their own thoughts and questions.
The evening will be hosted byLionel Chatard, Director and General Manager of Middlethorpe Hall and GoodGym York, with an introduction to the film and the discussion that follows.
As custodians of a historic house, gardens and landscape, these issues are particularly relevant to us at Middlethorpe Hall. As part of the National Trust, we recognise the importance of caring for the places and landscapes entrusted to us for future generations.
