About This Event
Discover an alternative history of York by taking this unique guided walk through the city centre. York has a reputation for having a pub for everyday of the year. Find out about some of the oldest as well as the people and events associated with them. Inquests, riots, politics, plagues, religious influence, bizarre entertainments and strange auctions, York's pub history provides a strong picture of the social life of the city.
Walks start next to the National Trust shop at the junction of College Street and Goodramgate. Tours last for approx. 2 hours, (2.5 with an optional refreshment stop, subject to suitable space being available).
The guide is an experienced volunteer city guide.
